My partner and I are so glad that we had Denise as our doula for the pregnancy and birth of our first child! As a black woman, I started my pregnancy with a lot of anxiety around maternal health outcomes, but having Denise's support and knowledge helped me to feel empowered to have a beautiful and positive birth experience, even when things didn't go exactly as planned. Denise was always available for any questions or concerns we had and supported us in getting adequate medical care from prenatal appointments and labor support, through to some postpartum concerns. The breastfeeding class(es) Denise offers were also extremely helpful for me and my partner to prepare for being able to feed our baby.
