We first did not even consider getting a doula for our first born. But pregnancy became a rollercoaster of emotions and halfway through I had to deal with the passing away of a parent as well. Having Bethany on our side gave us emotional security and the peace of mind we needed.
Without family in town it is great to know that you have an extra person in the room that is only there for you and who represents only the interests of your family.
Bethany was great in that way and it was amazing to know she was there.
Our labour went extremely fast so we didn’t have the slow contraction build up. Bethany did everything in her power to be there, and was extremely supportive during and after labour.
