After a fairly unpleasant PP experience with my first child, I had sworn off other children, that is, until I remarried and found myself pregnant at 41. I could only base my choices as a new parent on my previous experience, which told me we needed night time care, if nothing else than to prevent ME from creating a sleep monster and having children in my bed for the next 10 years. I started researching this type of care to come across NCS and my mind was blown. I quickly organized a plant to be able to have this service, it's an investment for sure but probably one of the best I've ever made in my life. Truly. I was contracted with another NCS and Aleca ended up taking the first part of our contract as the main caretaker wasn't available for the first half and she was absolutely WONDERFUL. I can't speak highly enough to her professionalism, knowledge, Postpartum interest and care and she had my darling boy sleeping, peacefully in a crib for nice long stretches before she left at 6 weeks. Unbelievable! Aleca will always be like family to us now, she holds a special place in our hearts. My son has a great head start because of her expertise around breastfeeding - I almost threw in the towel several time and without Aleca's knowledge, support, and resources I wouldn't be happily and plentifully breastfeeding well into my second month with no concerns or anxiety. So to end, if you asked if I'd hire Aleca again, absolutely! For twice the length and I would've paid her twice what her rate is. I'm a stickler for professionalism and attention to detail and Aleca has really raised our expectations and given me the type of attachment relationship I wanted with my son. I will be forever grateful we crossed paths and sad that our time was so short. I managed to still run my business, hug my partner every night, shower, get great sleep and provide love and affection to my older daughter which is priceless.
