My husband and I hired Barbie to help us throughout the pregnancy, birthing and postpartum process. As first-time parents, her knowledge and support were and continue to be invaluable. Barbie is extremely well-informed, and shares useful information without trying to push her clients in any one particular direction. She is extremely supportive of her clients' birth wishes, even when they change during the course of labor. During the birthing process, it was great having someone there to help us advocate for our choices, and the fact that she knows the majority of midwives and nurses on the labor & delivery floor at Women and Infant's Hospital made us feel much more comfortable during what is naturally a very overwhelming period of time. We've continued to work with Barbie throughout the postpartum period and would highly recommend her to anyone considering doula support.
