Sherrica has been amazing from the beginning.
I knew I wanted a doula from when we found out we were expecting because I'm a first time mom and had no idea what to expect. Sherrica was there anytime I felt my concerns weren't being addressed or I was being given half of the information I needed. She gave me resources and answered my questions/concerns to the best of her ability, and if she wasn't sure she made sure I knew what to ask of my provider so that I felt comfortable with the treatment plans. She helped me advocate for myself and answered the phone in the middle of the night when I went into L&D and was having some medical issues that were causing me to delivery earlier than anticipated. She calmed me down over the phone and checked in on me periodically to make sure I was ok. She helped me advocate for myself and wait for my doctor whom I trusted. I wasn't able to have the birth I wanted due to medical issues however I was comfortable knowing we did everything we could to try and have the best possible birth experience I could. She has also been there throughout my postpartum experience and reassuring me that I'm doing great!
Sherrica continues to assist us with our baby journey such as issues with breastfeeding (having a csection set us back on our BF journey) and just overall making sure we are doing well.
