Rachel was absolutely indepensable to our birth. I was in labor for 40 hours--a length that is practically unheard of--and Rachel was there for every step of the way. She is both assertive and incredibly gentle; she does not shy away from helping with difficult decisions and there was not a single moment of our birth where it felt like she was not present. She took turns napping with my partner so that one of them was always with me. She was just exactly the support person we needed for a birth that did not go at all like we had hoped/planned. Her pregnancy support and postpartum support was also incredible; processing our thoughts and feelings with her was incredibly validating and healing. I could not recommend her more highly and definitely plan to hire her for our future births.
