Knowing I planned on a having an unmedicated VBAC in a hospital, I wanted to have a doula on my birth team that would be an advocate and support for me. Not only was my birth plan advocated for and upheld, but I felt safe with her by my side, even though we had just met for the first time just a few weeks prior. I experienced a long labor that Lizzy patiently persevered with me throughout. Whenever I had a moment of doubt or fear, Lizzy reminded me of what my body is capable of and the affirmations I prepared. Her emotional support was so life-giving. She also tenderly guided my husband in how he could support me, which was much appreciated by both of us. If I were to have another pregnancy, I would hire Lizzy again in a heartbeat!
