Even though i got Haylee on my birth team late in my pregnancy (36 weeks), it felt like i had known her for much longer. She is a very warm and geniune person, and has tons of resources and information to carry you through prenatal/birth/postpartum. She helped me to visualize my birth and make sure that i was in the right place mentally before the actual event. I wasn't sure if my husband was going to be able to make it to my birth and she made sure that i felt safe and supported. I ended up having false labor a few days before actual labor and she came over very late and stayed with me through the night until i felt that nothing was progressing and we couldnt get things started again. When the birth finally did happen she was very good at advocating for me when i didnt want an internal exam. She helped with some hip squeezes and position changes and the labor ended up only being 2 hours long (i'm not promising that Haylee was the reason for that but we'll just say she was haha). As a bonus, she baked some delicious rolls as a part of the meal she brought for the postpartum visit. My overall experience was very good and i would recommend her to anyone looking for a birth doula in the area!
