It's hard to start describing how important Heather was during the birth of our child. This is our first child, and even though we read many books and my wife is a trained doula, Heather's support was incredibly valuable. She anticipated my wife's needs, suggesting new and different labor poses, offering pain management strategies, and supporting her throughout the entire process. Sometimes something as simple as reminding someone to drink water can make a huge difference!
It is also really important that Heather was there for me as a non-birthing partner. Heather allow me to have some time to take care of myself, reminding me of things we had planned for, and supporting me through an experience that I had never experienced before. And she also took incredible photos on my phone.
Overall, my wife and I felt incredibly supported throughout the entire process, from the pre-natal visits, to her texts checking in, to laboring at home, and finally through labor and birth.
I think everyone going through birth should have a Doula on their side and Heather is an amazing one. Thank you, Heather!
