Before meeting Michelle, both my husband and I were very worried about how our journey would pan out. I had a fear of not having a safe birthing experience while my husband's fear was not knowing the best way to support me. Michelle was a God send and we don't think we could have done it without her. We were able to get the best birthing experience and then some with Michelle's guidance and support. Michelle educated us through her birthing classes and 1-on-1 phone calls.
She answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns and fears surrounding our pregnancy, labor, delivery and the postpartum stage. My biggest take away when working with Michelle was when she taught me the lesson of "informed consent" and gave me the confidence of believing that "its my birth experience so it's my choice." She taught me that I don't have to give up total control in regards to my health especially when things changes.
Michelle gave me the strength and confidence to stand up for myself when dealing with medical staff and making decisions that I feel was best for me and baby without the added pressure. Michelle was also there for my husband by addressing his concerns and getting him involved in every step of the way, all until we delivered our little bundle of joy. I'm so grateful for Michelle and my husband and I don't see ourselves giving birth again without her.
