Choosing Carli as our doula, as first time parents, was one of the best decisions I've made during my pregnancy journey. Upon interviewing her, I knew her and I would work great together from the start. Carli's warm personality and calming energy was exactly what I was looking for. The prenatal meetings allowed us all to get to know each other and for my husband and I to understand some things that we were unaware of. She has a plethora of knowledge and experience that ultimately helped us prepare for any birth scenario. When I was scheduled for a Monday morning induction (not in my original plan), Carli was sure to spend a long phonecall with me that Friday to detail what to expect, what we may deal with, and what options we had. I was a bit defeated but she remained optimistic, telling me she was still hopeful this babe would come on their own. Sure enough, I went into labor that evening! Carli was quick to respond to my middle of the night texts, reassurring me and cheering me on as I labored at home for several hours. When we met at the hospital, her gentle touch and calming affirmations were exactly what I needed. She dove into action in such a loving and familial way and I embraced it. Even with an epidural, Carli was incredibly useful and creative in positioning techniques to help my babe move on through. It was a relief and comfort to have her by my side through each phase of labor. She was a great presence to have in the room for my husband and I, being another person we could bounce questions and ideas off of. She really felt like family and it was so nice to know she was there for us. Carli truly cares about her clients and it shows in every way. I look forward to having her around for the next little one!
