She helped with anything I needed during from her before the birth day came, helped me take care of details such as how we would get to the hospital, how we would communicate, backup plans, what kind of a birth I wanted, how involved I wanted her to be, the role of my husband and how she would complement him, code word to let her know if I really really wanted an epidural, etc. etc. and on top of that was an immense emotional support throughout (as well as physical support during labor and after), and I will be forever grateful.
