I had the most incredible birthing experience thanks to Justine and the rest of my birth team. As a first time mom planning a home birth, I knew finding the right doula was crucial to make my ideal birth a reality. From the initial consult with Justine, my husband and I knew that Midwest Doulas was the right team for us. We had the opportunity to meet with each doula during my pregnancy so that we were comfortable with the whole team before my birthing time.
During labor, Justine was my rock. My baby was not in the ideal position which made for a longer and more painful labor than I had anticipated. Justine was able to help me focus on the present and maintain the ideal positions to rotate my baby's head and allow for progession that I truly believe I would not have been able to achieve without her knowledge and support.
I was so confident in my teams ability to assist me in birthing my baby, even in my moments of doubt, I was able to refocus and have the home birth of my dreams. Believe it or not, pushing actually felt easy with Justine's guidance! I loved everything about my birth experience and I know I was only able to do it because of the incredible amount of love and support surrounding me throughout the duration of my labor.
My little guy is only a week and a half old, but I know I wouldn't give birth again without Justine by my side. Best doula ever!!!
