Jess is an incredibly caring, knowledgeable, powerful doula. I worked with them for my 2nd pregnancy for a birth in April 2020. After my first planned home birth resulted in a hospital transfer, I was left with a lot of uncertainty and anxiety around the birthing process. Jess was so reassuring, and helped me to work through these anxieties before my planned hospital birth - I always left our pep talks feeling heard, respected, and empowered. Then, of course, the pandemic shifted everything. I had so wanted Jess to be by my side for the whole labor, but the support they provided as I labored at home for as long as possible was invaluable - not only physically, with expert techniques to get baby in perfect position to deliver, and with stretches and massages that felt incredibly soothing, but also to prep me mentally to go into the hospital to deliver. Then, Jess set up a webcam and supported me virtually through the rest of the birth. I had a great, redemptive birth, and Jess was essential to getting me into the right headspace to make that happen. I would 10/10 recommend their services to anyone.
