During our prenatal visits (and over the course of multiple hour-long phone calls), she answered every single one of my questions with zero judgment and was able to offer research-backed insights as well as the encouragement and empathy I needed to feel empowered throughout the process.
I had a three-day induction that began with a trip to triage and Laurie was with us every step of the way. Her institutional knowledge of the people and process at Swedish was incredible — having someone who knew what was going on behind the scenes helped my husband and I feel confident about everything that was going on. Whether it was massaging me for hours or helping me think through decisions with my birth preferences in mind, Laurie’s presence during my birth was so comforting and empowering.
