My experience as a father and having a doula with us for birth was strange to me at first, but after the third baby it wouldn't even feel right if Mary Beth wasn't a part of it. The knowledge and wisdom she has is comforting to say the least and her connection with my wife Katie is something I knew she needed after our first child was born. Our first was my son Odin, who was a planned c-section due to him being breach. Mary Beth made every aspect of birth of my son amazing, from the music we were allowed to play during birth and right down to the clear curtain to see the baby right after birth. Unfortunately my wife had serious complications post partum, but Mary Beth walked with me every frightening step out of the way and thankfully both baby and mom came home with me. After that scary and humbling experience we see Mary Beth as a close family friend and we couldn't recommend her enough for anyone as a doula. She has been with us for all three of our childrens births and I could not even imagine any other way!!
