I hired Joli later on in my pregnancy and I wish with every fiber of my being that I had hired her earlier (and for my first baby as well). I was trying to VBAC for the pregnancy Joli was my doula. She was so thorough and provided hands-on help to get baby positioned ideally. When I got the news at a routine appointment that I would need to deliver that day, she answered a frantic phone call while I was in the midwive's office to be a sounding board of what the issue was, my history, and the options the midwife had laid out for me. Ultimately, I decided to do a c-section and I never felt judged or any less important or cared for. She showed up in pre-op and helped me advocate for myself. Through her guidance prior to delivery, my husband was actually better equipped to advocate for me when I was not in the space to do so. She had great contacts post-partum which was sooo helpful. She is just a wealth of knowledge and has such a calming presence. I'm so thankful for her!
