I met Joli through the Rebel Birth class that her and one of her partners teaches. Highly recommend! This was back in 2018 when I was pregnant with my first son. I loved her vibe I ended up hiring her as my doula without doing a formal interview. She was helpful every step of the way. Allows contact anytime and doesn't put a cap on it. She was on call for me and when I went into labor she was on her way! I was 42 wks and went with a hospital that offered midwife services and had to overcome some hurdles and she was also there for my husband when I ended up having an emergency c section because on my son's heart rate dropped to 66 when my midwife broke my water. She was cool, calm, and collected from start to finish.With my second son in '21 I hired her again even though I knew there was a chance she wouldn't even be able to be with me in the room because of COVID restrictions at the hospital. She was giving advice on how to get the best experience the whole time and how to advocate for us as best we could with the situation. My goal was to have a VBAC. My midwife from my first son was not doing them anymore and was going to just stay with her just because of knowing who she was not Joli pushed me because she knew what I really wanted. She ended up referring several Dr's and The one I went with was amazing. He was a great match for my personality and I am beyond grateful for going with him. My water breaks and I don't feel comfortable staying home because of what happened with my first son so we go to the hospital and was in contact with Joli the entire time. We found out she wasn't going to be able to come in the room but I had my husband in touch with her the entire time and she was so helpful even without being there. I was able to get my VBAC even with a baby that was 9lb13oz (after him pooping twice before he was weighed)! I'm done with having kids but if I were having another one I would hire her again. She is more than a doula she is a friend.
