Testimonial for Stacy Higginbotham
Stacy was a joy to work with. I procrastinated in finding a doula for my child's birth, so much so that the first time we met in person was at the hospital! But once we got to chatting, it was like I had known her for quite some time. She was in for a rough ride with my labor, spending about 15 hours with us. She was encouraging and willing to try any sort of position to get me comfortable! It was really nice to have her there, as my husband was a bit anxious for labor - they made a great team helping me out!
One situation stands out to me more than others. Unfortunately, my son had to go to the special care unit shortly after he was born so my husband went with him. Stacy stayed by my side and held my hand the entire time the OB repaired my 3rd degree tear, chatting with me while I nervously talked to distract myself from all the work the OB was doing. The nurse and midwife even asked if she was my sister! A sign of how comfortable we interacted with each other for just having met in person!
Stacy also took some photos and video of my son being born, and I will cherish those moments caught on film. Stacy also continued to check up on me afterwards, which I greatly appreciated! I'm thankful we worked with Stacy.
