Testimonial for Jaime Lewis
I'd like to start off saying Jamie is absolutely AMAZING! I was paired with her by chance, as the doula I had originally planned to hire was out of town on my EDD. I had already been through a LOT historically... first potential full term pregnancy with 2 prior losses, a necessary change in OBs at 21 weeks, and a strong desire for an unmedicated birth (that ended up in a non-epidural induction). I was ready for some stability, and Jamie was exactly that! I was a bit anxiety riddled through my last month of pregnancy and Jamie was able to keep me grounded, being available for phone/video/text and email convos at any time. She was able to provide me so many resources and alternative ideas when I needed help, before accepting an induction. Even better, she was able to keep me calm, grounded and POSITIVE when the induction started. During my labor, she was always 1 step ahead, and prepared for everything. She was an excellent coach for my husband, and helped him take the lead and be part of the process, as well as an awesome partner with my equally amazing new OBGYN too. She also molded her processes to my preferences...natural but not "crunchy holistic," logical but not negative, for every curve ball that was thrown at me. I know 100% that if Jamie was not able to attend my birth I would not have been able to go without an epidural and not had the birth that I had dreamed of for my first baby. Jamie is passionate, knowledgeable, professional and humble and I would be proud to reccomend her to friends and family as well as hire her for my next birth...whenever that may be.
