Courtney was a massive help and great presence during our initial rollercoaster-ride as new parents. It was an abrupt start because we had not foreseen our need for help (of course), but we were lucky enough that she was able to connect with us, interview, and start working with us pretty quickly after our son was born.
We were having a rough time figuring out how to even manage ourselves at first as parents (even doing basic things we thought we knew how to do as adults seemed almost impossible). To top it off, I was nervous with worries about COVID safety and at having another person in our home, let alone the new baby no amount of preperation really prepared us for. Despite my worry, Courtney quickly helped to calm us, guide us and gently refocus us on what was important and what really needed to be done for our baby - and also for us. She both guided us as well as handled things we didn't want to deal with at times to give us a break. Courtney not only took care of our baby, she took care of us and made sure we took care of ourselves, and was always willing to help however she could. We were very lucky to have her experience and calm around us at this time -- and I believe the fact that she has her own little one gave her that extra bit of insight and understanding.
Courtney is communicative, reliable, thoughtful, kind, and really just genuinely cares. Sounds (and yeah, is) unoriginal, but will forever be grateful for the kindness and support Courtney provided us with throughout her time with us.
