I worked with Barbie for my second childbirth and could not have been more pleased with the choice. Since this was not my first time having a baby I was skeptical I even needed support, but I am so glad I heeded the advice of a close friend to at least meet with Barbie and talk to her. She was very communicative, upbeat and considerate of our situation and points of view. She offered helpful advice not only for our coming baby, but for our toddler as well. I never felt pressured to do things a certain way and from the get-go let her know I was open to different things, but not dead set on any one way. She fully supported this approach and answered questions along the way honestly. The day of delivery could not have gone better. It was fast and furious, but Barbie was there for it all. From the phone call when my contractions started, to triage when my water broke, to the delivery room one hour later where I birthed our son naturally - I never actually thought I'd be in that club or be able to do that after opting for an epidural with our first child, but Barbie was one of the key reasons I did. I am grateful for all of her guidance and support mentally, physically and emotionally. She was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone having a baby that wants a friendly, professional to talk through options, provide support and welcome your baby into the world.
