Bethany helped me have my dream birth experience! I decided late in my pregnancy that I wanted to have a doula at my birth. I was induced early with my first because of hypertension. Because of that I was skeptical that I could actually have a natural birth without an epidural. However, every meeting with Bethany helped calm my fears. She was giving me great advice before I had even hired her. You could tell she cared about helping women have healthy pregnancies and helping women advocate for themselves. She gave me advice about how to prevent hypertension, exercises to get baby in good positions, and great pain management techniques. From the beginning of labor she was there for the long haul. She helped me navigate the early parts of labor and helped calm me down when I didn’t think I could do it anymore. If you are thinking about getting a doula I would definitely recommend Bethany. I felt like she had my back through the whole process.
