My experience with Alyx being my doula was nothing but amazing! I sought out a doula after wanting more advocacy and support during my home birth. She was there for me before my midwives even arrived and was the first person I called when I was in early labor. Alyx also displayed a positive outlook during my whole birth. She came prepared with essential oils, electronic candle lights, and Bluetooth speaker with music that provide a calm and soothing environment. My labor was long and exhausting in which she was there for not only me but my husband as well. She made she my husband and I were fed and hydrated, which was the last this that was on our mind. The support during labor was great but it only continued postpartum. Alyx's postpartum visits were helpful as well for she helped with cleaning, brought food, and even a good conversation. She would also often check in on me between visits to just see if I was okay and that was thoughtful and kind. I would love to have her as my doula again and highly recommend her!
