The biggest and best support system we could of asked for throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. What compelled us to hiring Jenn from the moment we interviewed with her was her calm demeanor. She talked slow, she was thoughtful and her presence made us feel secure, supported and calm - even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout my pregnancy, Jenn checked in consistently to see how things were going along and was a text or call away when I had a quick question or concern and always answered promptly. I finally went into labor at 41 weeks and 3 days. Jenn had helped us prepare for a natural childbirth and as soon as I started feeling contractions Jenn was the person who reminded me and helped me to rest, relax, and breathe. During labor, Jenn came to our house to help when contractions were picking up and was able to tell us when it was time to head to the hospital. Once at the hospital, Jenn was with us until our little girl arrived. When our doctors suggested an intervention I was able to talk through it with Jenn before making a decision. When ultimately my body wasn’t progressing through labor and the risks became too high we had to have the conversation about a c-section. My worst fear. Not my plan. But with Jenn and my husband by my side I had the strength to power through. Even after our little girls arrival, Jenn was a text away when concerns came up during recovery in the hospital, and once we were home. She gave me the knowledge to speak up for myself and my daughter. She empowered me when I felt powerless. I’m forever grateful for Jenn during my postpartum journey. I had a lot of healing to do with the birth not going our way and being so traumatic. I had struggles with breastfeeding, and SO MANY newborn questions. Jenn was the one constant who was always there encouraging us, supporting us, and giving us the knowledge we needed to keep going and to not fall apart in the process. We love you Jenn.
