If you are on the fence about getting a doula, hire Amanda! My husband and I weren’t 100% sure if we were going to get a doula, but after our first interaction with Amanda, we felt so comfortable and now I couldn’t imagine having gone through the birth process without her. When my birth “plan” didn’t go as I envisioned, it was so helpful to have Amanda there to talk through my options so I could make an informed decision. She was hands on during my (very long) labor and recommending certain positions when it was apparent I needed to switch it up. After birth, she was so supportive and always there to answer my messages or just to let me talk about my feelings and how I was adjusting.
