Alyx helped me through one of the most amazing times in my life with such care, empathy and education it was truly wonderful. I was pregnant through the pandemic and was matched with Alyx through my insurance. We were only allowed to have a limited amount of zoom meetings until I was in active labor and then we could meet. When I tell you I felt like I have known her forever through our first zoom meeting I truly mean it. We talked about my fears, concerns and questions. She gave me educational information to help calm my fears. When I started contracting at 1:30am my husband texted her and she was there on the other end of the phone helping him take care of me. Making sure we were headed to the hospital at the best time. We met Alyx in person at 4am on a Saturday in front of the emergency room. She parked our truck to make sure my husband never left my side. She was there through all 36 hours of my labor, being my advocate, helping my husband. Making sure we were trying everything to get me comfortable, and keep me and my baby safe. She made sure my husband felt comfortable and informed, she kept us feeling safe. I highly recommend Alyx as a doula. She is truly the best decision we made in our birthing plan. Thank you Alyx.
