It I could describe Suzanne in one word it would be extraordinary! At first I wasn't sure if I even wanted a doula, but my friends highly recommended having one especially since it was my first birth and I was hoping to have a medication-free birth. When I first chatted with Suzanne, I was nervous because I had NO idea what I was doing or even what questions to ask. But she was so disarming to talk to and answered all of the questions I never knew I had. She eased my anxiety and confirmed that having her as my doula was definitely something I wanted. Fast forward to my birthing experience, Suzanne helped work through my contractions with realness, witty humor, and medication free methods. Most importantly, she kept me calm and advocated for me when I found out I was no longer going to be able to have the birth I was hoping due to baby being transverse. Suzanne tried all the positions and pulled all the tricks out of her sleeve to help flip baby, but she wouldn't budge. Her positive attitude calming presence kept me sane through my entire cesarean, I wouldn't have wanted anyone in there but her. To this day, Suzanne still answers all of my new mom anxiety driven questions through text with exceptional speed, and checks in on me frequently. Having her as my number one confidant through this new journey into motherhood has been worth EVERY penny, and I couldn't give her a higher recommendation to any other mom-to-be's out there.
