When she arrived at the hospital to meet us, I was able to relax knowing she would be there to advocate for us, reinforce our wishes, and help us understand what was happening. I had an amazing birth experience and know that her preparation and presence that day was an essential part of it. Postpartum, she was there for us when we struggled coming home and didn't know who to go to for help.
