We are so grateful that we decided to work with Kali to support our family through the birth of our daughter. With Kali's support, our birth went according to our hopes and dreams. She guided us through the experience from contractions in early labor in the middle of the night, through making decisions about when to contact our midwife, partnering with our providers, and then guiding us through each phase of labor from our home to the birthing center. Kali kept us calm and grounded throughout an intense experience. She was regularly checking in with me (the birth parent) about how I was doing, what I needed, and what I wanted to do. She was adamant that I would be in charge of the decisions surrounding my labor, which was important to me. She also helped my husband by coaching him on how to support me and keeping him grounded, too. We achieved a birth in alignment with our birth plan and were able to start our lives as a new family of three in a loving and beautiful way. Without Kali's help, we might have panicked or misunderstood situations, which could have led to unwanted interventions. Kali kept us steady, calm, and supported. We are so grateful to her, and would absolutely recommend her as a doula!
