I'm so glad we have Ariel with us on our birth journey. When we started, I was hoping for a vaginal birth. Unfortunately with a complete placenta previa, we needed a planned c section. It was my first time doing a major surgery, also the first time for Ariel to be in an OR. I thought I could be tough, everything was normal. But it was not, it was very clinical and I felt extremely vulnerable and scared. Ariel was there to guide me, to affirm my emotion, to encourage me.
