My family and I had the BEST experience with Heather! We had an extremely traumatic birth that resulted in an emergency C-section at 32 weeks. Most people say "you shouldn't need a doula for a c-section." WRONG. We called heather that morning and told her the birth was happening at 5pm. Being the amazing human she is, she planned to be there hours before 5. When the docs came and said we needed to go hours earlier without warning for emergency, we were pleasantly surprised that Heather was parking! Because it was an emergency Heather and my husband were not able to join me until I was already being operated on but once she was there she helped to remind my husband to help me breathe and stay calm. After the birth my husband had to go with our son to the NICU so Heather was there to hold my hand as I was sewn up and also made sure since I missed out my golden hour that I didn't miss out on hand expression of colostrum post op. She stayed in constant text communication with my husband so I knew what was happening in the NICU. We are SO GRATEFUL for heather and all her post op check ins, she genuinely cares for you and your family!
