As a first time mom she provided me with useful information on what to expect during labor and how to best prepare for it, walked me through different birthing positions and scenarios, helped me to advocate for what I wanted with my medical team, checked in on me frequently to see how I was feeling physically and mentally, and was just an overall supportive and calming presence before, during & after the labor process.
