Maritza is an amazing person and a perfect doula! I highly recommend her to anyone considering getting a little extra help with the birth of a child. She is professional, reliable, and a good communicator. She's extremely knowledgable about childbirth, newborns, and breast feeding. She's also very calm, easy going, nurturing, and supportive. I always felt completely comfortable asking her for help or information on anything that was troubling me.
Martiza helped my family after the birth of our first child. We hired her to help as a post-natal doula, particularly for the overnight assistance in the first few weeks after our daughter was born and while I was recovering. She helped me get started with pumping when breastfeeding wasn't going well and her support was so critical to help me keep going when things were really hard. She also was not judgmental at all when we needed to supplement with formula. She helped with laundry and dishes, and one time even helped me find a new nipple shield at 10pm when mine went missing! A lifesaver! I always felt 100% at ease when she stayed overnight caring for my daughter, which helped me to get the sleep I needed while recovering. Her assistance was worth every penny! I plan to hire her again if we have more children.
