We hired Char as our doula for my 3rd birth and I wish we would have had her there for us for during the 1st and 2nd ones as well. I wanted an unmedicated delivery and I was scared out of my mind because I had an epidural for both of my prior deliveries. I also left both of those prior deliveries feeling like something was missing and that I wanted something different but kind of brushed it off because I didn't know what to change. Knowing this was likely my last pregnancy I wanted it to be "perfect" even though I thought perfect would actually happen. Turns out it did and everything we talked about and that I hoped happened during my labor and delivery, happened. Char being there for me and my husband brought us both a sense of peace, comfort, and confidence. She has so much expericence and knowledge with birth that she was able to explain things to us throughout the process and make suggestions that would help us get as close as we could to that "perfect" delivery I so wanted. It was also really nice having someone in the room the whole time that was familiar with the hospital, what they had to offer, and where things were. There were things I didn't even know were an option to have, but Char knew and offered those things during labor which really helped. I would recommend Char to anyone and everyone, she really helped me and my husband have an amazing delivery experience.
