I loved working with Siena and highly recommend her. Siena has years of experience serving as a doula in a number of different settings and her experience shows in everything that she does. My plan was to give birth in a hospital setting, but I wanted to have a doula that could advocate for me and help me meet my goal of having a low-intervention, vaginal birth. Siena has lots of experience working with moms in hospital settings. Siena is very thorough. We had planned to meet 3 times before my due-date, in person, to discuss the birthing process, the birth plan, and postpartum plans. Siena really helped educate me and my partner before labor began about what to expect and how to prepare. We had taken plenty of birthing classes, but I still feel like I learned a lot from her during those meetings. My baby ended up coming nearly 4 weeks early, and when my water broke when I was home, Siena was the first person I called. She is always very calm, confident, and reassuring. When I started to feel strong contractions and sensations, I started to feel a bit anxious, but Siena's voice and guidance over the phone helped me calm down. She offered to come meet me at my home, but I decided that I wanted to head straight to the hospital. She met us there very quickly and immediately helped guide me through the surges of labor. I was so reassured by her presence and her affirmations during labor - she was a tremendous comfort to me! I decided that I wanted an epidural, and Siena was supportive of my decisions no matter what. In the end, I had a beautiful birth and I'm so grateful that Siena was there. I felt so much more prepared and confident having her on my team. Siena is also very knowledgeable about postpartum recovery, and provided a lot of evidence-based advice to help me through the postpartum period. I loved working with Siena and recommend her highly to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate doula. She is excellent in every way!
