Justine and the Midwest Doulas are professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. We selected them for birth, postpartum, and sibling care. From the moment we had our first virtual call with Justine to the moment we welcomed our daughter their team was empathetic, responsive, and honest.
Justine was our birth doula and her evidence-based birth knowledge helped us make informed decisions throughout our pregnancy, labor, and birth. She listened to our questions and concerns allowing her to confidently support our birth plan and advocate on our behalf. She is well-known and respected in the birth community which we found very beneficial as clients. She knew our providers and was familiar with the policies and procedures of the hospital birth center where we were patients. During our labor and birth she was calm, direct, and compassionate. She holds a special place in our hearts and our daughter will know about the passionate, fearless French doula who helped her arrive safely into the world.
Our daughter arrived 10 days early and our original childcare plan for our five year old son had to shift within an hour. Not only was Justine able to shift her schedule to attend our birth she was able to have Cassandra provide sibling care for our son at a moments notice. We were able to focus on our daughter while our son was safe at home having fun with Cassandra.
Around week three Molly, our postpartum doula started to come a couple days a week. She was an absolute Godsend. She is intuitive, respectful, and very client-centered. We’re not accustomed to asking for or accepting help. Molly truly blew us away with how effortlessly she found a place within our home and family. She helped with meal prep, light housekeeping, childcare for both little ones, and postpartum care for mama.
Overall, the Midwest Doulas are part of our village. Once you know them it doesn’t take long to love and trust them.
