My husband and I wanted to find a doula based on my doctor’s encouragement and the fact that we were going to be first time parents. We found Barbie on the DONA website, Zoom interviewed her and decided to hire her on the spot. We are glad we chose Barbie as our doula for she gave us a lot of peace of mind upfront, pre birth. We learned more in our two pre birth sessions with her, than from any online birth class we took. When it came time to give birth (granted it was unplanned induction that turned into a csection) we atleast felt somewhat informed or prepped for what could happen or for what questions to ask. Overall glad we had the experience of having a doula our first go round and she took some great pics during our sons first few minutes of life that are priceless.
