I am so grateful that Laurie was a big part of my pregnancy and birth experience. She is warm, real, funny, empathetic, and very skilled at reading what is needed at any given moment and offering it. I appreciated all the questions she asked my husband and me prior to our baby's birth since it prompted conversations between us that we (as first time parents) didn't realize would be vital to have. She was prompt and thorough with answering all my questions both pre- and post-partum. One of my most powerful memories of my birth experience was Laurie stroking my hair and speaking encouraging words during a particularly rough patch.
