Jamila, was an exceptional Doula! She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, down to earth and last but not least, she LISTENED to me and my fears of becoming a new mom (ie the right car seat, will I produce enough milk, etc.). After reading book after book and talking with women in a breastfeeding support group, I thought I was prepared. That is, until I gave birth and all the research went out the window when my child wouldn't stop crying as we were waiting to be transferred to our room in the hospital. I was met with a calm voice and was shown various ways to nurse my child. Jamila, even came to our home and assisted me in the nursery when my child was latching on too hard and my nipples started to crack and bleed from improper latching. We got it down, to the point my child chose nursing over the bottle. Jamila, is a godsend and I'll tell everyone I know about her and her wonderful services! I'm glad I chose Jamila as my doula!
