Lisa is a very special person and her doula service was exquisite. Her support during my labour was very prepared with all her tools and arrived timely, hands on (so thankful for that hip squeeze technique!), attentive, offered options for pain management without pressure, jumped in at appropriate times, and provided courage and reassurance to me in the difficult moments. She has a heart of gold and goes above and beyond to welcome you in as family.
All that I have said above is not even the best part about her care! Post-partum we hired Lisa to prepare our meals as she was actually a chef previous to her doula work. Oh my, the food!!! As a hungry, newly breastfeeding mama just wanting to cherish that time with her family, the food could have been average and I wouldnt have minded, BUT(!) her cooking is so incredible!!! Well-balanced, mindful dishes that I could tell were prepared with love and tenderness. From roast beef dinner with all the fixings to home made stroganoff to indian curries to fabulous lunch buddha bowls, honestly I went to food heaven during that time.
I would absolutely recommend Lisa!!! An empathetic, sensitive person with a great doula skillset and mad cooking skills. If I have more children in the future, I will reach to her. Thank you for all your support Lisa!!!
