Kelly was available throughout my pregnancy. She cared what I wanted out of my birth. I had desired homebirth from day one but had decided to go with traditional OB care - until a couple of different factors had me wanting to switch providers at 20 weeks. Kelly knew I was hesitant so she gave me options. She knew OB's, midwives that would mesh well with my desires & she was willing and ready to help me find the right provider. She eased my mind as I advocated for better care. She reassured me & prayed with me when I second guessed my decision & ultimately she helped me find the team that made my dream birth a reality. She remained in contact with me, especially as we got towards the end of my pregnancy. I went into labor late at night. I was convinced it wasn't "real" labor. When I called - she answered right away despite it being so late. she immediately knew based on just a phone call and came my way. As soon as she got to my house, she didn't even take time to survey what was going on around us. She was immediately all in for me comforting me, squeezing my hips, surrounding me with love & encouragement. She spoke encouraging words over me as she helped my husband quickly set up the birth tub. She helped my husband find his role in the chaos. She knew where I was at without me having to say a thing - she knew what I needed before I did. And she was able to help both my husband and I find our groove & calm. She supported us both, took beautiful photos, and showed genuine happiness when our girl entered the world. We felt like we'd known her forever. she was a member of the family just as filled with love at the arrival of our daughter as we were. kelly knows how to help you both advocate for the birth you desire.
