As a first time Mother on the brink of motherhood (and during the COVID pandemic)- Barbie was absolutely instrumental in helping ease me and my husband's anxieties about labor, delivery, and new parenthood. She did this by providing us with evidence based material to help us make decisions about our own care, but she also shared anecdotal information that helped normalize our feelings and soothe our fears as first time parents! She supported me in advocating for my needs but I also feel like she prepared us with possibilities of how our birth could go- which ended up being very handy in the end! :-) Both my husband and I would highly recommend Barbie as a support person and doula we loved having her with us and are definitely planning on keeping in touch with her!
