My husband and I hired Aubrey as our doula very early on in my pregnancy and she was an INCREDIBLE resource the entire time. She really helped to alleviate alot of my anxiety and concerns early in the pregnancy and was invaluable when it came to helping me find other resources and information as well. Our prenatal visits helped me to envision my birth as a positive and empowering experience and also helped me to solidify in my mind what was important to me and what I needed to communicate to my OBGYN ahead of time. She gave me alot of ideas for questions to ask that would not have occured to me which was awesome. Her support for my desieres and hopes surrounding my labor and delivery never wavered. When the day came that my contractions began she was right there with me on the phone talking me though how to time them and helping me determine whethere this was false labor or the real deal. She labored at home with me as long as possible and it was a huge relief to have an experienced professional with us to help us know when it was time to head to the hospital. It took all the guess work and stress out of the situtation for my husband and I. Once we were at the hospital she once again proved how valuable she is as a birth team member and a resource. She labored with me for 9 hours total and was right there with my husband holdng one of my legs and cheering me on when it was time to push. It was largely thanks to her encouragement and support that I was able to make my goal of delivering without pain medication and if/when we decide to have another baby I will be calling her to hire her as soon as we know we are pregnant. Whatever your birth goals are and whether you want an epidural or an intervention free birth- Aubrey will be right there supporting you! I really cant say enough wonderful things about her. Do yourself and your partner a favor and meet with Aubrey. You wont regret the investment in a positive birth expereince!
