Jill was exactly what we needed when looking for a doula. At the beginning of our pregnancy journey, we really had no idea what a doula even was but when we met with Jill, we knew that we needed her by our side. She was patient and kind throughout the entire process and met with us in our home several times throughout my pregnancy. Jill even recommended the person that would end up encapsulating my placenta after my son's birth and because she was recommended by Jill, I trusted her and the process 100%. Jill was so great at listening to what we wanted as far as a birthing experience and was so great at suggesting so many different things to help make sure I was at my healthiest for my baby. Specifically when it came to the actual birth, Jill was available by text and phone the entire time I was in early labor before she arrived at my house (close to 2:00am). When she arrived, she immediatley suggested different positions and tricks to help lessen the pain of my contractions and they all helped! Even my husband said that having her there with us during the birthing process allowed him to be the best partner he could be and really focus on what he could do rather than what he couldn't do. He said her presence put him so much at ease, and I completely agree. She was so encouraging and helped me relax and felt completley empowered the entire time I was laboring. After the birth, Jill brought me delicious snacks so I could regain some strength and took my placenta to be encapsulated. And even weeks after my birth, Jill continued to follow up with me and my son, brought us meals and even arranged a face-to-face meeting to make extra sure we were doing okay. I cannot put into words how thankful I am for everything Jill has done for me and my family. I would absolutley, 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, encouraging, commited and reliable doula.
