We hired Midwest Doulas for the birth of our first child in 2021 and we both decided it was one of the best decisions we made! My husband was a little unsure if it was worth the investment initially but afterwards we decided it was worth every penny. Midwest Doulas was helpful in their prenatal visits as I prepared for birth and was available to answer any questions I had during pregnancy. Our actual birth process went extremely smoothly and they helped me in meeting my goal of an unmedicated and natural birth. Having a doula took the pressure off my husband and he could enjoy the process as my support person rather than my birth coach. Justine was able to guide me through various positions and help me with pain management to speed labor. She assisted my husband to allow him to have meaningful and helpful hands on assistance for me, which was so special. Having her there gave me the confidence that I could manage labor and delivery without need for intervention. After birth, she helped my daughter latch for the first time, and followed up with us after we got home to answer any questions. We would highly recommend Justine and Midwest Doulas to anyone and everyone and plan to use them for the birth of our next child, whenever that will be.
