I am so, so thankful that I found Joyful Roots Doulas and worked with Dara and Joy for my pregnancy and birth! Dara was my doula, and I worked with Joy for placenta encapsulation/art which I loved and helped me tremendously postpartum. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dara. She was there every step of the way during my pregnancy to answer my questions and provide helpful feedback. Not only did she help me with the facts about pregnancy (like can I eat this thing?) she also always said the perfect things I needed to hear on the emotional side. I felt so supported throughout the process. My labor ended up being a big complicated (I had premature rupture of membranes) and Dara calmly helped me navigate the unexpected challenges that came with this. She supported me during a long natural labor at Best Start Birth Center and her support really got me through! She was strong, supportive, knowledgeable, warm, and so caring. I hope to work with her again for my second baby! I love Joyful Roots!
