We hired Laura as our doula for the birth of our second child. After meeting her for the first time, my husband and I felt an immediate connection to Laura. We are so glad that we were able to have her as part of our team for the birth of our second daughter. Our first labor and delivery experience had some traumas that I needed help working through in order to be menatally and emotionally ready for the birth of baby number 2. Laura was so helpful in many ways. She helped me process through some of the difficulties of deliverying my first baby and also was very helpful in pointing me towards resources to use for additional support. With her help and encouragement, I was able to approach the birth of our second daughter with confidence and excitement. The exercises and tools she taught us leading up to delivery played a key role in my ability to enter labor calmly and to labor at home as comfortably as possible. By the time we got to our birth center, I only had about an hour and a half of labor before our daughter was born. Though the birth center portion of my labor was relatively short, Laura's help and support were amazing. She was calming and encouraging, and helped me to stay strong and confident. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone who is looking to work with a doula.
