I had such a wonderful experience with all of the doulas at Midwest Doulas. Many think that doulas are mostly there to support you through labor and delivery, but I found that the support they provided through my pregnancy was absolutely vital to staying healthy, physically and mentally. The referrals that Justine provided me (chiropractic and mental health therapist) were crucial for me. I now feel like I have a team of healthcare providers that I can trust in addition to my primary care doctor who also oversaw my pregnancy. Justine also referred me to BirthED lactation and birth classes which were incredible. I learned so much in the classes in addition to my meetings with the Midwest Doulas. Knowledge is power, and I truly believe the mindset I brought into my birth was because of Midwest Doulas and all of the education and help I received through them. I stayed calm and went with the flow while still staying firm in my birth preferences when I could. I would not have known what I could and could not ask for without Midwest Doulas.
