Dear Reader, if you're still considering whether you'll hire a Doula, DO IT.
It's hard to put into words how one person, who began as a complete stranger, so greatly impacted our journey into Parenthood. I can promise you this; WE-as a couple/new parents, HIM-as an attentive partner/new DAD and ME-as a birthing goddess/Mamma, are all the better for it!
Steph guided, supported & encouraged both my spouse & I during our pregnancy. I was consistently amazed at her professional poise, un-bias approach & unwavering support. Steph was attentive to every detail, taking into consideration what was important to US. We were able to openly discuss/plan for the birth WE wanted. She 100% supported our decisions & made me feel powerful as a woman/my partner feel vital in his role. Having a Doula brought up things we wouldn't have even known to talk about like, "What position do you think you'd like to give birth in?" No matter how much research, reading & asking for opinions/advice I did, there were variables, options & considerations Steph brought forward I hadn't even thought of.
I felt prepared, knowledgable & confident heading into my birth because of her. I believed in myself. I trusted my body & the process. I knew that I could meet whichever way my birth went (with ease) & still get everything I wanted, and I DID.
I am so grateful for Steph as our Doula, our confidant & friend. I can't imagine our pregancy and birth without her. She supported us in ways we didn't know we needed. Having her as our Doula was the best decision we made. There are not enough words to appropriately say thank you or to fully explain how fundamental she was to our experience. Thank you a million times, Steph.
